Wifi really slow - which is bad when you have to pay for it.

    Fabulous

It is located close to the gondola and there are many places nearby to rent bikes, start hikes, make other bookings for sporting activities including bungee jumoing, sky diving, horseback riding, jet ski, flying, etc........ We were 2 adults , two teen boys and a six year old. We were in Queenstown to be outside and enjoy the outdoors. After spending a lot in Te Anau on Distinction Te Anau -- which was awful for the price---- my teens recommended Pinewood because they had been there with a school trip. Great kids and great choice! Perfect for a family because it has ensuite rooms with common kitchen and lounge area. Go for it if you want to spend your money on the great sporting activies instead of fancy place you won't be using! They even let us use the kitchen and common area after check-out so we could breakfast without hurrying.

    Everything was fine-- no compliants!

    Good

    Nice and helpful staff.

Dirty apartment and walls thin as paper.

Nice area, short cut to the cable station.

It was cheap and the location was handy to town.

Rooms look much better on the website than reality. The lodge we stayed in was relatively clean but we did not have a suitable onsite carpark and there was no where to turn around safely once you got up the hill. Very narrow driveway.

    Good

Room was small and minimal equipped, but ok for a short stay and not expensive.

You have to pay for the internet, which was rather slow. Narrow parking space.

    Inexpensive

Very basic room with no fridge. It was extremely noisy at nice. This venue suits young backpackers doing it on the cheap, rather than mature couples.

    Good

Kitchen facilities, near a big supermarket. Not far from center of town.

20 minutes of free Wi-Fi which didn't really work. Offices close early, open late.

    Location ,view

Noisy units ,could hear everything next door ,doors make noise ,carpet worn curtains threadbare ,no comfort in Room .Clearly picture on website did not pertain to room we had .I am aware there are better units in the complex ,the unit we had was smelly and not what I was expecting ,far too basic

There is often space, when the other cheap backpacker spaces are full. 10 minutes walk to town. Good for parking a car.

Room wasn't ready at 14.00! Only 20 minutes free WIFI, after that, it's expansive. The Lodge is manly for young groups of bus tours. They are taking the hole outdoor-space and are often loud. It's not like a hostel. You are staying in 3 -4 room houses with facilities. I don't recommend this place for induviduell travellers or backpackers.

    Very good

Nice location at the mountin, quiet but yet only 10 min from the action

Due to the shared facilities ver noisy, but that does apply to allmost any backpackers

Super handy location, nice set out of the rooms, and so easy to book etc.

Staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was clean.

When we first arrived and had a look at bathroom facilities, one of the shower floors was covered in piping and grout. It was cleaned up later that day, however the showers continued to disappoint!. There were two shared showers, one of which had an a temperature gauge that wasn't fixed so when you set the temperature it was always wrong, and a lock that was broken. The other shower had no middle ground for temperature, it went from freezing cold to boiling hot! In addition the drying room was just an old shed which was cold and damp and had no hope of drying our clothes (this is important as they predominantly cater to snowboarders and skiers).
